“Is there any way to display the current resolution source and what resolution is currently being displayed? There is not a "display" button on the remote.”

The picture will display only what you are using. If your on a 4K channel or 4K blue ray play it’s 4K if it’s just cable then if it’s an had Chanel its 1080 if not an had channel or cable box it’s 720
