I also have DirecTV. It took about 10 or 11 different tries before I found one that worked. Just keep going through the list. If that doesn't work, maybe DirecTV owes you some newer equipment. They gave me two year-old equipment when I connected and I'm sure they have better, more up to date stuff now.
