The kid was wrong. The TV does have bluetooth, but it is a "limited" bluetooth. You can connect a phone, a tablet, or a computer, but ONLY if you first connect roku bluetooth speakers. Without first installing their speakers, you can't connect anything at all. Also, their speakers are not exactly cheap, and are not all that good. You can get more details here: https://support.roku.com/article/360011612733-how-do-i-connect-a-bluetooth-device-to-my-roku-tv-and-wireless-speakers-
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can. Get the Roku app on your phone and sign into it with the same account, then select the Private Listening feature. You will be able to listen to the TV audio on your phone's headphones, which can be any bluetooth model that works with your phone (or a wired pair). I use it with my iPhone and AirPods to listen to TV silently late at night.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my answer to this question I stated that there was no USB port on the tv, but there is. I am presently listening to my music collection via flash drive plugged into the USB port on the back of the tv.
