“Does this player have a built in pre amp and can you switch it on and off”

• According to sharp and the owners manual it does not have a preamp at all . No switch exists for one . But, i think i does since the audio comes out way overclocked and distorts if you use a phono input. If you use a tape input its less distorted bit the signal to noise ratio goes to poop.
