Q: What kind of audio cable would I use to hook up external speakers?
A: Hello, the unit comes with the red/white audio cable in which the connection is to the back of the turntable.
A: The sizes are called 45,78, and 33 1/3 records. Although to play 78 records you'll need a special stylus(needle) for that type. Or you'll tear up the stylus.
Q: Will this turntable hook directly to speakers or do I need an amp?

Q: Can this player handle the weight of old bakelite discs at 78rpm?
A: You'll have to buy a special cartridge/needle to play 78's. Bakelight 78's is another question. you might get by. I would buy another headshell for the 78's and just snap it on when you need to. There is a weight you can buy to put on a headshell to make it heavier, might be 2 grams, I forget.
Q: Can I transfer vinyl record albums to cd on this device. If not, what is needed to do so?
