Each button only learns one function of the IR remote it is learning from. No sequences.

It is a simple head to head programming but that gives you the option to have the each button work with any remote like using the the volume from the sound bar, power for the tv, there are 2 buttons at the bottom you can program for anything so I them set for power on the soundbar and switch inputs on the sound bar
