“I have a non smart samsung tv and a firestick i believe 2nd gen and its fire tv remote WITH volume and on/off tv controls but they dont work, just the rest does work. Will this help? I dont wan to buy a whole tv remote just for volume and turn tv on/off”

The buttons on the SideKick need to be programmed from the TV remote, they are NOT pre-programmed.
