You would have to teach the side click to learn that command basically you face the old remote and the side click together and you press the corresponding buttons on each remote (it’s explained in the directions how to do this) and it should work. It took a few tries for the side click to learn two use my TV menu as opposed to just volume and mute but after a couple tries I was able to get it to learn and to be able to maneuver around the menu using the arrow keys. You just have to be patient but it does work
