“Is this lens a sports lens? The description says "contemporary" and "sports" which are not the same. I don't want to order a sports lens only to receive a contemporary one.”

This is actually the contemporary. It was purchased for me as a Christmas gift and was believed to be to sports, but received the contemporary. I have ZERO complaints and, from my research, there are minimal differences between the two. I've taken a few thousand shots so far and it has been well-equipped for an array of settings from wildlife to sports. Hope this helps
