Q: QuestionCan this be used in bridge mode. I am looking to see if I can connect to a hotel WiFi network and provide WiFi to my connected devices? If so can it support captive portal? Also, some routers in bridge have reduced throughput is this the case?

• A:Answer Hi Enigma, Thank you for your interest on our product. The Solis Lite is designed primarily to act as mobile hotspots to provide internet access via cellular networks. Unfortunately, it does not offer a bridge mode feature that would allow you to connect to a hotel Wi-Fi network and then distribute that connection to your own devices. The Solis hotspot does not have a built-in captive portal bypass feature, so if the hotel requires login via a captive portal, you would need to log in using the hotspot's browser interface. After logging in on the hotspot itself, the devices connected to the hotspot would typically be able to use the internet. Since the Solis hotspots are not designed to operate in bridge mode, the issue of reduced throughput when using bridge mode doesn't apply. Best, Simo support

Estimate: Email (no attachments): 6 MB Texting: 12 MB Google search: 60-120 MB Facebook (light usage): 20-50 MB FaceTime (video calls): 180-600 MB TikTok: 180-300 MB For High Data Usage (like FaceTime, streaming, or TikTok), the per-gigabyte plan might be more suitable if you expect to use data consistently and need flexibility to top up. However, this can be more expensive if you're a frequent high-data user. The day pass is a better option if you only need high-speed data for a short period and can manage after 1.5 GB with slower speeds for lighter activities.
