A:Answer I do not know whether this phone is new. However, I have been a customer with Simple mobile for about two years. When I bought my iPhone 6s Plus with them, it was locked to their service for the first year. You have to call to get it unlocked, but they are a great company with the same coverage as Metro by T-mobile. I assume things haven’t changed, but you can always go to their website and ask them.
