The magnet side is just that ... a magnet. So nothing concerning there. The sensor side, however, is not sealed in any way that would protect it from water intrusion. I suppose it wouldn’t be difficult to seal off though. My biggest concern would be extreme temperatures. So if you live somewhere that can experience extreme highs or lows, take a look at the operating temperature range of the sensor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope, the electronics are not weather sealed. The sensor itself is just a plastic shell covering a plastic frame with a battery + reed switch in it. I'd assume you may be able to do something like sealing seams and the area exposing the LED with some silicone to make it splash and dust resistant, but it would void the warranty.
