- Answer Yes, it will still work, but it will only make noise. In my opinion, the monitoring is the most valuable feature.

- Answer You can pay $14.99/month for basic monitoring or $24.99/month for the full package....get the $24.99 version to get text messages, emails, app interaction with the system, etc. Well worth the extra $10/month. I love this system, have had the 2nd gen now for years. This newest system is so greatly improved.

QuestionHow can you request an additional key fob? Does the motion sensor give you an alert in the location where there is an intruder rather than blow the alarm? eg. kitchen sensor will send an alert via the app when there is motion detected in the kitchen?

- Answer Purchase an extra fob from Best Buy, SimpliSafe, or another retailer. It’s up to you to buy and add as many accessories and sensors of each type as you require. You can set up “secret alerts” that will just tell you which sensor has triggered, rather than set off the alarm. For each sensor, you can set whether it alarms/secret alerts/nothing, for each state: away/home/off. Hope that helps.

QuestionMy wife would like to have the "shell" of the house, doors and windows armed/monitored while she is in the home then turn on the motion detectors when she goes to bed. And of course everything would be on while we are aware. Is this possible?

- Answer Yes. However, usually you don’t arm the motion detectors when you’re home so that you/pets don’t accidentally trigger them. Maybe if the sensors are downstairs while you sleep upstairs, it makes sense to arm the downstairs ones. You can do a split configuration like that easily. Also, you can add as many sensors as you need (not sure of the limit) to expand the system to cover more entry points. Don’t forget to look at glass break detectors, too.

QuestionI see this system made for best buy does not include the external siren or glass break sensor. It does not appear best buy has them available to buy separately to add to the system??

- Answer Just go over to SimpliSafe website. I purchased the siren and it is loud!...which is what I wanted. It runs 59.95 and the glass breakage sensor I believe I paid 34.95. I purchased the 369.00 system at Best Buy and love it. When you go over to the Simpli Safe to purchase these items you may be contacted with an offer for one month of free monitoring which I received. Good luck!

- Answer It doesn't come WITH one, but you can add one to it. It's a component that you purchase separately. I have not done so, so I can't speak to how well the glass break sensor works, but it WAS an option. The water sensor is also an option.

QuestionJust a quick understanding of the communications. Base unit utilizes cell tower (over the air)?. Sensors utilize the same or do sensors utilize wifi back to base unit? Trying to config my setup. Thanks!

- Answer The base uses WiFi first and falls back to cell when needed to communicate with the monitoring station and internet. The sensors talk to the base over a different wireless band (433mhz I think?) that is not WiFi.

- Answer We added a doorbell camera to our system and are very pleased with how well it works with the overall system. There is a door monitor so when we open the door, we have that sound notification. However, if we do not want to open the door, we can see who is at the doorbell area and can communicate with them. We have average internet speed, nothing advanced, and the system has worked well for us at all times. When we were out of town, it was useful to see when the doorbell was rung and by whom.

- Answer The cost is 14.99 per month. It has the monitoring, but that's it. It includes water, fire, burglary at no additional cost. The $19.99 plan includes the option to set text messaging alerts for various events- arming, disarming, you can even set some sensors to secret alert so you could get a text message, and maybe it doesn't go out to the monitoring company as an alarm. Depends on how you set up your system. The $24.99 plan has all that but gives you control through the app and online. You can make changes and arm/disarm the system online or through the app.

- Answer Yes, they do. Depending on which package you purchase, the smoke may be included; however, if it isn't, you can purchase the smoke and C/M monitors separately from their website. And they are monitored as well...

- Answer THE NEW ACCES 3 WORKS WITH WIFI AND CELL CAN WORK WITH EITHER ONE OR BOTH. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEIR NEW SYSTEM.
