QuestionIs this a camera or just a motion detector system for the inside of your home? And I’ve seen people ask about monitoring, what does that mean?

- Answer This system has no cameras but you can add and the system is basically just an audio alarm deterrent without buying a subscription at $15 a month someone else can call you and let you know something happened or $25 a month you can get an alert and someone can call it in for you.

- Answer By default, when the system is armed in Home Mode, all Motion Sensors are disabled. Of course, our Motion Sensors are calibrated to ignore smaller pets, but there are ways of setting up that can accommodate even larger pets as well, which still having them ready to catch human intruders.

- Answer The Entry Sensor can definitely be installed on garage doors, or any entryway that opens wider than 2". Since Entry Sensors work by detecting a magnet, we recommend adding padding over any metal surfaces.

QuestionCan you have two sensors on a window so you can leave a window partially open or closed?

- Answer No. The sensors detects when the magnet separates to indicated that it’s open. With your example one sensor would always be closed and one would always be opened. You could set the sensor not to trigger the system I believe so you can still have the rest of the system armed.

- Answer Monitoring Service is designed so that you will always get a call first from a human operator. If you're not able to answer, or if you choose so over the phone, the operator can call for dispatch on your behalf. But even without Monitoring, you can set up push notifications to your phone for alarm events.

- Answer Yes, we do have a Smoke Detector component available (not included in this package). We also have a SimpliSafe app for both Android and iOS. You'll be able to use it to set up and manage your whole system - arm and disarm remotely, change all settings, receive Push Notifications, and even livestream and view recordings from all your SimpliSafe cameras.

QuestionDoes the system link with your cellphone so you get alerts when there is movement? Can you see on your phone the areas of the house where you have cameras? OR do you need the subscription service to get these features? Thank you.

- Answer There is a widget that you can install on your phone to arm or disarm your security system. My husband also has it on his tablet. When we were testing the sensors one of the sensors was a little more sensitive. It would say that it was open even though it wasn't oh, and told us what window it was. After adjusting the center the alert went away and is now working properly. We do pay for the services because we have 2 kids who are hard-of-hearing and they can hear the siren in the event of an emergency. It does say if you want to get alert you have to pay for a subscription . They have three different plan options to suit your needs . All are reasonably priced for what you may have in your system setup. Hope that helps.

- Answer Great question! It works a little bit like texting on old mobile phones - just keep pressing the numpad button and it will switch to letters. A guide on screen will indicate what character you're currently on.

- Answer Yes, Go to SimpliSafe. Order from them , do not order from Best Buy. If you have a computer, go to Simplisafe and check out there different options. I am sure there are other Security systems out there, that you can check out . My system came with 4 door sensors and two motion sensor. You can get the door alert also. Good Luck!
