- Answer The app only works if you pay. But the $10 plan is great and you can have 4 cameras on that tier.

QuestionI have an existing system using wireless GE Interlogix sensors (319.508 MHz), but am interested in upgrading to SimpliSafe. Will your main control unit take input from these sensors so that I do not have to replace them? Thanks

- Answer I had been using for two by years, and it is an a great system for all houses. I have installed a complete system with all sensor including the door lock.

QuestionOur neighbor has a SimpliSafe system. It is a good 225 ft apart. Can both system work separate? Also what size batteries are needed? Thanks.

- Answer My neighbor and I have same units that are less than 50' apart and no interference. Main unit has rechargeable battery. Keypad has 4 AA or AAA batteries. Entry sensors have flat round batteries (CRXXXX or something like that) and motion detector has a battery that looks like 1/2 of a AAA battery. Could be a lot of battery replacement but specs indicated most should last 2 years.

- Answer Probably not. That sounds like a manufacture discount only available from their website. You should check SimpliSafe website to see if this deal applies to systems bought at retail stores.

QuestionCan you buy extra sirens. Is every thing but the base station cordless. Can you turn alarm on & off using alexa?

- Answer The base station does require a power cord for day to day operation, however, it will run for 24 hours on batteries, four AA batteries. The cameras however are all connected to a power plugin module with a USB cord all the time. Yes, extra sirens can be purchased. I do not know if alexa works with this system or not.

- Answer I have the very unreliable Simpli Safe Alarm System with smoke sensors added. The smoke sensors cannot be replaced with ring smoke sensors. Simpli Safe smoke sensors are very unreliable as they send false alarms. You will find this with research which will show simpli safe smoke sensors send false alarms. I am going to gradually remove all the simpli safe smoke sensor and gradually install a complete ring system, with smoke sensors. I did spend a lot of money with Simpli Safe junk system. The Simpli Safe Monitoring service is very unreliable. They dispatch at times, before making a telephone call to verify. The actual simpli safe company does NOT care in any way whatsoever. The Simpli Safe guarantee to replace defective sensors as long as the system is being monitored, is as worthless as their smoke sensors. I was hoping to replace the total junk Simpl Safe Smoke Sensors with reliable Ring Alarm Smoke Sensors, is the reason I know they will not function with Simpli Safe.

- Answer This listing is for the complete home security system, including the Base Station, Keypad, and sensors. But with regards to our Smoke Detector and the 2-in-1 Smoke & CO Detector, just like all of our other components, they are compatible with SimpliSafe only.

- Answer This i s a complete home security system that connects to monitoring service for 24/7 dispatch. When a sensor is triggered, it will set off an audible siren; but there's no way to change the siren sound.
