Yep, the Freeze Sensor can be set with both an upper and a lower threshold. So it can be used to monitor a rise in temperatures as well.

I put mine in the North end of my basement , right near my pipes. I also have a big outdoor thermometer with a camera directed at it for a second check. Then I have a portable heater, safely placed, , plugged into a smart outlet to be able to start the heater should the temperature drop while I’m at work. I can turn it on and off with Alexa as needed. I also placed an extra smoke detector in the North end of the basement. The Simply safe thermometer has always been accurate when checked against the outdoor thermometer. I hope this helps.
