Questionwill my outdoor speakers get ruined in the rain?i have them set up by the pool and dont plan on putting them away for the winter, will the cold and rain affect the speakers. by the way i live in southern california.

- Answer Mine have been outside for 10 years and they still work. We obviously don't have issues with the cold here, but they do get LOTS of water and still work just fine. These are great speakers for the price!

QuestionDo speakers have volume controls on them.We will use speakers outdoors with our rv. The connection is already there and sound will be hooked up to the tv station.

- Answer The speakers need at least 25 watts per speaker, make sure the TV has that output. Or use a stereo amp.

QuestionI how do I attach these speakers to my amp?If my receiver has the red and white connector plugs for speakers to be attached and these speakers use bare wire, how do connect them to the speaker plugs on the amp? Sorry, I'm technically challenged....!

- Answer The speakers come with 50ft of burial speaker wire, but the gauge is quite small. If you are planning on having a run of further than 25' (each), you might want to purchase a heavier gauge speaker wire. I have about a 15' run on each speaker, and they sound just fine.

QuestionI have a Sony STR-DN1060 receiver that outputs 100 watts per channel. Will my receiver blow the speakers? What I don't understand is what is the max watts per speaker? Is it 100, 50, or 25?

- Answer I believe the power rating of each speaker is 50 watts RMS, 100 Max. RMS would mean continuous power, while max is exactly what is says. You would really have to crank up the volume to unpractical levels to actually push 100 watts out to the speaker constantly. My speakers are powered by an old Kenwood receiver rated at 125 watts per channel and I have not had any problems at all.
