A:AnswerThis machine has the settings for hemming. Denim is a very thick material & therefore, you will need to try it out to determine whether it will work. Quite possibly you'll need a stronger needle than just the standard needle & you'll have to check your local area for where to find one.

There is a chart in the instruction manual to assist you in choosing the proper needle & thread for the type of sewing you will be doing.
