    • Answer Unfortunately, our newer machines, including the Singer Quantum Stylist model 9960 sewing machine, will not attach to the old style cabinets. They are no longer made with an opening to place a mounting bracket.

The Singer Quantum Stylist model 9960 sewing machine presser foot lifts to about ¼ inch (6.35mm) space. By lifting the presser foot lever to about ½ inch (7.7mm). You should be aware that if you sew on multiple layers or fabrics that are too thick and it raises the presser foot higher than the normal up position, the top tension will be disengaged and the machine will not make a proper stitch (may jam machine). The Large Extension Table and Hard Dust Cover along with the foot control and power cord are in the box with the sewing machine.

Singer - Quantum Stylist 600-Stitch Sewing Machine - White @ BestBuy ‐ 2 months ago. The Singer Quantum Stylist model 9960 sewing machine is capable of sewing silk fabric, however it may have difficulty sewing 6 – 8 layers of denim. It will depend on the thickness of the denim. If you sew on multiple layers that are too thick and it raises the presser foot too high, the top tension will be disengaged and the machine will not make a proper stitch (may jam machine). The Singer Quantum Stylist model 9960 sewing machine presser foot lifts to about ¼ inch space (the presser foot will stay at this height until the lever is let down), you can also lift up on the lifter by pushing the lever further up and raise it to about ½ inch (it will not stay at that height if lever is released).
