• It comes with a standard 110v wall plug that connects to a small converter box and from there it connects to the radio as 12v dc . It can also be powered by 8 D cell batteries

• Works by plugging into 110v outlet or by using 8 D-cell batteries. Have not used batteries yet, so don't know how much run time it has. If you want to run off of 12v, get the car kit.
