Yes, they work for online gaming. I use them for voice chat with my Xbox and Wii U.

Yes, but due to their durability and the way it will have to withstand constant movement, it may be best to look elsewhere at a dedicated headset, such as the basic TurtleBeach headset for the Xbox One or PS4. The Skull Candy Ink'd 2 audio quality is excellent for the Xbox One controller, you can hear footsteps in Rainbow Six Siege very clearly, but for mic, you have to manually mute it from the Xbox One. It's a 50/50 situation. If you do go with these, buy the 2 year GeekSquad protection plan.
