• There is a rubber "flip""door on the end of the neck piece. My is on the side that has the volume control.

• Use a toothpick or your fingernail to help the tab to open...

• On the left side of the neck and where the control buttons are, if you look at the very end of it that is where you plug it in. I used a fingernail to pu) the dust cover out and open it so I could plug it in. If you don't have nails you could get it with a paper clip or similar. Just catch the outer rim of the cover and pull up easy.
