Does it matter which ear they go into? null

It doesn't matter for phone calls, but if you're listening to music that has a left and right channel (stereo), then you'd want the earbud that is wired to the control box to be in your left ear. It is the left channel for listening to music as intended.

For best comfort, we suggest you follow the L and R indicator on the earbuds.
