QuestionIs it easy to switch planes from US to Italy. I plan to port our phones over to Google Voice prior to departing the states for a job and would like to have the plan on when we touch down.

- Answer Hello Rome, In order to switch plans, you would need to complete your previous plan before signing up for another unless you are using pay per GB. Then you can easily subscribe to a plan in the future. But if you paid for a one month of US Unlimited Monthly Subscription, then you must complete that 30 day period before trying to convert to a global one. In this case it might be simpler to just subscribe to a global subscription plan rather one just for the US.

- Answer Hello Tina, Normally video calls take up more data then voice calls, we'd recommend going with our GoData plan so you have access to unlimited high speed data without slower speeds. Our monthly UMS plan provides you with 20GB of high speed data a month and then after, slower speeds.

QuestionI’d like to use this for live-streaming from a Sling Studio device which lets me switch cameras and add graphics and music to my streams. I’ve heard that Skyroam will “throttle back” the Mbps (data stream) an hour or so into my stream. Is this true?

- Answer Hello Ben, Not sure who told you that but let's explain how our fair use policy works and what we suggest. If you're going to be doing live streaming we recommend our GoData plan as you will have access to consistent high speed data all the time. But if you prefer a different plan, we do offer day passes and unlimited monthly. We state in our fair use policy: "Global Daypass: Users will receive 24 hours of unlimited data through the Skyroam network. While the user's data will not expire during the 24 hour period, data speeds may vary from 4G to 3G/2G speeds depending on location, carrier bandwidth, and total data consumption. Unlimited Monthly Subscription: Users will receive up to 20GBs of high speed data and then speeds will reduce to 512 kbps. After 20GBs are used, our Fair Use Policy applies to the remaining unlimited data. High speed data resets with each 30 day period. For continuous high-speed data, check out our GoData Monthly Subscription which allows you to buy WiFi by the Gigabyte rather than unlimited. GoData Monthly Subscription: Users will receive full speed of mobile data at anytime. The Fair Use Policy does not apply for GoData subscribers."

QuestionI am needing a hotspot for work. I do a lot of Zoom meetings as well as company based server work, meaning I use a lot of data. Would this service work in areas that have only AT&T carrier access? How much 4G LTE data is included in the unlimited plans?

- Answer Hello Robert, Thank you for your interest in Skyroam. We partner with a variety of carriers, therefore it would work in areas that have more than just AT&T carrier access. In the unlimited plans you are entitled to 20GB of high speed data and then speeds are slowed. We hope this helps. Thank you!

QuestionCan this device be used as everyday home internet. Such as school, work, smart TVs and streaming? Does every connected device need to be in the same room as the device?

- Answer Yes we use this everyday for school for 2 kids. I am not sure about streaming and tv. I don’t think it would work for that because it’s not fast and has trouble sometimes but I haven’t tried. Most of the time the internet works if you are close enough to the hotspot. If you go too far away it won’t work. We live in a rural area so I am not sure if this is why.

QuestionI am currently working from home in California although I am planning on going to Texas for a few months then to Mexico for another few months. Would I be able to change between internet plans as I travel through the US and International?

- Answer Hello Connie, Depending on how many months you will be there you could initially use our US UMS plan and then switch to global, but you cannot do this mid plan. You'd have to complete your current service plan and then switch. So our US UMS plan is month to month, so at the end of the month you could switch but not during the month while your plan is going. - Answer In our family , we have 2 lites and 1 solid x. Have not had to use in predominantly metal buildings. Other than saying the aforementioned, have not experienced such an issue.

- Answer Hello Mag! Think of the Lite as the most basic version and the X with the version with benefits. If you're just looking for something simple and don't need the additional features the Lite is great; some people do like all the features such as bluetooth, camera, smart assistant so they go for the Solis X.

QuestionThe guy that we bought our grain dryer from said if we get a hot spot to put down in the building by it that with an app he would be able to see problems with the controls if needed since the controls have wi-fi capability. Would this work?
