• No they will not and they cannot even tell if you already have one.

• It's actually a pretty simple thing to install. All you have to do is buy new thermostat wire that have all the required wires and connect it to one end of the old wire. Overlap it but at least 8 inches and use lots of tape on it and make sure it won't get caught on anything behind the wall. Then go to the other end and pull the old wire thorough which will bring he new wire into its place. It's also a good idea to have someone feed the new wire into the wall.

• If there is an extra wire not used in your system it could be used for the “C” wire but I doubt Geek Squad will do that. I hope that helps but I think you may want an actual HVAC tech to come out.
