“This might be a silly question, but does the Ring Solar Panel require an outlet? I can see a wire in the picture, just not sure if that connects to the security camera or goes to a plug.”

• No it does not get plugged in. The cord is to connect it to the devise. I love ours. We have one of our stickup cameras connected to it

• That wire actually runs into the camera itself to recharge the batteries

• No. It uses the sun only for power. The wire goes from the panel to the camera

• The wire goes from the solar panel to the camera to keep the battery charged. No plug in needed.

• The white wire goes to the back of your security camera and plug in. Then it will start charging your security camera.
