A:AnswerThe bass from the system is deceptively good at higher volume levels but at low volume it is anemic. It especially becomes apparent that the midrange is weak if you try to use the system for something with dialogue like a movie. The upside is that with a little bit of knowledge and proper wiring, you can hook up the sub to a separate amp if it is not enough power and just be aware of the sound levels it is capable of so you don’t accidentally overload it. I installed the sub near the fence so it does a better job projecting the sound across the yard but the best sound is either right next to the house or close to the sub because of the acoustics of my yard. I may install a separate buried powered sub somewhere else in the yard and use the sub pre-out of the connect amp if I find the bass still isn’t to my liking. For music at high volume it is sufficient for now to keep up with the rest of the system as background music.

A:AnswerThere is an expensive outdoor enclosure you can buy from Altelix ($300+). It has a fan for exhaust and temp control, which you will need if the box is closed while you are using the amp. But if you are in a covered area, you can do what I did and use a wall mount drilled through a big enough, transparent, plastic Tupperware container lid (you will have sonos mount - container lid - wall). When you are not using it, you close / cover it with the actual container. When you want to use, just take that out.
A:AnswerYes, you would need to run an HDMI cable from the TV to the Sonos amp. The Sonos amp has a HDMI connect for that type of connection. Music is played by the Sonos App.
A:AnswerHonestly you should add another Amp. This system is designed for the power output of this amp. If you load it with more speakers you will tax the amp causing premature failure or wear. In my opinion I would add another amp and stack them.

A:AnswerIf you match the impedance, you could. Then better to add a volume control in that line just in case they play louder than the other ones. But I hear the amp is not strong enough to add additional speakers without compromising the quality / loudness of the kit.

A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend adding any additional speakers to the MAG6.1 system. The included (6) satellite speakers and (1) subwoofer is the maximum number of speakers you should connect to the Sonos amp. I hope you found this information helpful. If you have other questions, please call our California-based support team at 949-492-7777 and ask for Tech Support. We are available Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM PST. We'd love to help you out.
