QuestionMy older sonos sound bar connected to my TV with a digital cable. The specs listed on bestbuy show no hdmi in or digital in ports on the sound bar, which makes no sense to me. So how do you get your TV audio to play through your sonos soundbar / system?

- Answer There is an HDMI input which you would connect to the HDMI-ARC port on your TV. Here's some information you can refer to which I found online: How do I connect Sonos beam to my TV? Sonos Beam connects to your TV’s HDMI-ARC port. Most TVs have two to four HDMI ports, one of which is labeled ARC, which stands for Audio Return Channel. The HDMI-ARC port syncs audio and picture, plus automatically pairs your TV remote to Sonos Beam. If you’re unsure if your TV has an HDMI-ARC port, consult your TV specs with the manufacturer.

- Answer No, SONOS only works within the SONOS ecosystem. The SONOS sub is excellent and I would definitely recommend getting one.

QuestionWill the Sonos Beam work with my Samsung Q60A tv remote such that I only have to use the Samsung remote to turn the volume up and down? Sonos said it will if the Samsung has an infrared remote but I dont see this info on the Samsung web page for the tv.

- Answer I am not sure about Samsung, but the Sonos volume synced with my Direct TV remote without having to do anything. Most TV’s have infrared and RF signal, so I would think it would work. The app works really well too, but understand why you would want all in one.

QuestionPurchased Sonos Beam Gen 2. I was not told that I needed an "IOS device". I have an Android. Is there a work around, hardware-software? Also, many other speakers have "mode" sounds, i.e.: "game", "surround", etc. Are there "mode settings" on this unit?

- Answer You can set up and use your Sonos Beam G2 with an Android phone. The only feature that is not available on Android is the Trueplay tuning feature. This can only be done with an iOS device. It is not necessary to do that but can tune the audio fit your space. This can be done by borrowing a device once or using an iPad. There are not mode setting on a Sonos Beam as it plays the content in the best signal quality the TV is providing .

- Answer The sonos is bluetooth capable. Once you download the app in your app store, set up your sonos sound system to your preference. In the app, you can add your choice of music player and it will play through your sonos system.

QuestionI have two grouped Sonos Era 100 speakers. When I connect either one to my projector via Bluetooth, both speakers play audio. I wonder if I group a soundbar to the Era 100 speakers, will it work on my projector? (No cable connection on my projector).

- Answer It will play the same thing as the Era 100's assuming it's a Sonos sounbar. Note that because the soundbar is not directly plugged into the projector, you will not get the correct audio codec (IE dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital) in most cases.

- Answer The Beam can plug into any source with eARC, ARC, or optical. However, it's recommended that it plugs directly into the tv for the best experience.

- Answer Thanks for you question, Sonos Beam allows you to use your own TV remote to control the volume. You can use the app but most people utilize the remote they already have for their TV or cable box. Using a remote is configured easily during set up.

- Answer They can be grouped together to play the same thing in both speakers or different things in different speakers. Or, you can buy another One and use the two of them as surround sounds with Beam.
