- Answer You can use nearly ANY remote to adjust the volume on the Beam. Once your input device (TV) is powered off, your Beam will turn off as well. You can also say "hey Sonos, power off/on." You can adjust the volume by saying saying "hey Sonos, volume up/down" or pick a specific volume level from 0-100.

- Answer For the Sonos Beam Gen 2 to work with other Sonos speakers and your Samsung Picture Frame TV, here's how the connections work: Connecting Sonos Beam Gen 2 to TV: The Beam Gen 2 connects to your TV via an HDMI eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) or HDMI ARC port. This connection allows the Beam to receive audio from your TV, including for other sources connected to the TV. Optical Cable: The Beam Gen 2 does not use an optical cable. It relies solely on HDMI eARC/ARC for audio from the TV. If your TV only has an optical out, you would need a separate HDMI-to-Optical adapter to convert the signal. Streaming Music on Sonos App: To stream music to the Beam Gen 2 and other Sonos speakers, you do not need an optical cable. All Sonos speakers, including the Beam Gen 2, communicate over Wi-Fi via the Sonos app. Ensure all your Sonos devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and configured in the Sonos app.

- Answer No. Sonos doesn’t use external remote. The regular tv remote control the volume orcthe sonos app does it all.

- Answer The soundbar does not have an on/off switch that I know. But you don’t need it. If you’re watching tv, when turned off, the sound will go off. And for just music, I play from Spotify or any app and connect to the bar through wifi. And I use my phone for that. I think that that only works with an iPhone. But for Android, you can do that through the Sonos App.

- Answer I have 4 beams and 14 Sonos gen 2 in my house. I thought that they were going out. However, someone recommended me to go on eBay and buy a Sonos Bridge. Now there’s no buffering or delays. I would definitely try getting a bridge.

- Answer Normal patching is: Source Output/HDMI. >NOT to the ARC input of TV, often port 1. That's a dedicated port for passing audio on to the SONOS. --Your TV maintains onboard control of its audio output, either A-or-B, but not both. Importantly, the do make HDMI splitters with multiple outs, for system integrators, enabling your AV receiver to receive a parallel signal to that going to the TV and on to the SONOS. See: Key Digital-brand.
