“I moved into a house that has built in ceiling speakers both in the house (family room, dining room and master bath) and outdoor patio. I also have a stand alone Sonos unit in the kitchen. can I connect the Sonos unit to the speakers? If so, how? Thx”

You need a sonos amp or the newer Sonos amp to connect to speakers. You may need multiple amps for various rooms. In the literature you cam connect up to 2 sets of speakers per amp. You will need a speaker selector box to connect to the amp. It works great. Good Luck and enjoy!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To connect your existing speakers to your Sonos unit in the kitchen you would need to wire a Sonos Amp to each pair of speakers. The speakers should have standard speaker wire running from them to another area. Simply plug in the Sonos Amp to an electrical outlet, use the included binding posts to plug the speaker wire into the Amp, and then set up the Sonos Amp in your Sonos app and you will have created zones for whichever speakers you connect to the Amps!

To connect multiple speakers (including sonos) to play as one, I think a receiver would be more appropriate. I bought this to route all devices through my sonos speakers.
