QuestionCan I use this for my TV audio instead of buying a sound bar ?

- Answer The only products that we make that are designed to plug in directly to the Tv are Arc, Beam, and Amp. Any of our other products can play tv sound, but only if they are grouped with on of our speakers that are designed to work with your tv.

- Answer Yes, it will pair. You'll need to use the Sonos app that you will have to load to your Mac. You can also play using "Stream What You Hear" from your computer. If you're not tech savy it can be annoying in the beginning.

QuestionPurchasing Arc, subwoofer,& 2 Ones for TV surround. Also have turntable next to TV & considering two options for playing records: (1) connect to a Sonos Port & play through the Arc or (2) purchase a Five and play only through it. Please advise.

- Answer Port and five both do the same thing, but the five also gives you a fantastic sound. I’d go with the five if you can swing the extra dough.

QuestionIf I get the Sonos port and hook it to my existing home stereo and then add 2 Sonos 5 speakers to another room, will the music be synchronized through all speakers (my existing home wired speakers and new Sonos 5s) or will there be some delay between them

QuestionCan the new Sonos 5 speakers be placed under a patio roof where they will never get wet? We live in the coastal southeast, so we don’t get freezing temps.

- Answer I have play 1’s installed in this same manner underneath a patio cover in Las Vegas. They are subjected to the heat and the cold but work great. Have had no issues with leaving them outside.

- Answer Only if you already have a Sonos sound bar. Then you can create a group of three and connect to the TV.

QuestionI have a Sonos sound system, which includes the arc, the subwoofer and two One SLs. If I get the Sonos five can I connect it with the other speakers? I ask because I heard there are certain speakers that can’t be connected like a home theater system.

- Answer The only way you can connect this speaker to play the same thing as the other speakers is if you have two of them and it is set up as your rear speakers. This is how I have my system set up and love it. The sound is amazing with two of these as the rear speakers.

- Answer I have two sonos 5 speakers with an Arc/sub. I added the two 5s as part of the souround sound setup and I am able to control volume on all speakers through the phone app or through the touch controls.

- Answer Hi, and thanks for your questions. No, the Five would not be compatible with the wifi receiver. However we do have the Sonos Port if you'd like to make that receiver work with Sonos. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sonos-port-streaming-media-player-matte-black/6371154.p?skuId=6371154 As far as the Google Hub, we can integrate with that. You could tell it to play "x" in the Living room and your speaker named Living Room will start playing music.
