I have Sonos thru out my home and when my mobile device is not connected to WiFi, I cannot control any of these speakers. So, I was thinking of buying one of these to be on the “Move” ie: on a boat or at the beach. Will it work away from WiFi? null

Hi! Thank you very much for reaching out with a question! Yes! This is exactly what Move is for. You can use it at home on your wifi, and then switch it to bluetooth when you're away from the home, and not on wifi. There's a physical button on the back to switch from wifi to bluetooth and back. Note that it does have to be set up on wifi first before bluetooth can be activated.

Yes, there's a button on the back of the speaker that lets you switch between a wifi or bluetooth connection. Press the button and you can now connect to your phone through bluetooth and take the speaker wherever you want.

The move is the only Sonos Bluetooth speaker made by Sonos. It works both on WiFi and Bluetooth.
