“Can the Move play music while on charging stand or charging plugged into USB? Just wondering if I were to use outback for a party that went late into the night. Also how does sound compare to other Sonos speakers? Like a 5? a One?”

There are no ports on the back for USB, only a base ring that provides charging, so this will have to go with it if moving it to another spot. If needing to continue the charge, the "other" spot will have to have a plug within reach of power cord length.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it can be on or off the stand, it makes no difference. The sound is very good. I have Play 1s, 3s and 5s and I think it sounds between a play 3 and a play 5. Because I have such a large system, I think the Move just compliments my other speakers and sound great with them, but also sounds very good by itself, much better than a single Play one.
