Only the Sonos Playbar has a optical input. If you set up the Sonos One speakers with the Playbar the Playbar will communicate with the Sonos One speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is not Optical input on the SONOS Play one. To get your TV to talk to it you will need a SONOS Connect. I would not go that direction, I would get a SONOS PlayBar.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you’re looking to expand your system to incorporate your TV. I recommend adding the SONOS Beam. The Beam is their only soundbar with Alex built in. Additionally, it uses either HDMI ARC or digital audio with a provided adapter. Adding a second ONE and Beam will give you a 5.0 setup with Alexa integration on all 3 speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no optical unit and you cannot connect it to your TV. You have to purchase the soundbar for that. You can, however, connect the soundbar to your Sonos speakers. (at least that is what I was told. I haven't tried it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No there is not an optical hookup. You’ll need to get the Sonos Playbase or Playbar and hook that up to your TV. Then you can link your Sonos one to that. I have the Playbase with two Sonos ones for surround sound. It works great
