Yes, you can play all of the music stored on your phone and control the speaker including volume all from your phone.

I have Amazon digital music (Prime) on my phone and can connect through the Sonos app. I don’t have Apple Music (unlimited); haven’t figured out how to connect to my Apple digital library yet, so missing majority of my music (although the app had a recent update; haven’t been able to test yet). Sister has Bose system and connects with ease.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will. I "cast" from my iPhone to the Sonos daily. You can also stream Spotify, Google Play, Pandora, and iTunes through the Sonos. That it allowed streaming from almost every music service directly to it and it allows me to cast from my phone was one of the reasons I bought it.
