• No receiver. It’s done through the Sonos app. I have the setup you described.

• Hi, thank you for your question. If you would like to add a Sonos Sub to your soundbar and surround speakers, you do not need any kind of receiver. The Sonos Sub will connect wirelessly to the soundbar.

• No need. The premise for Sonos is web based. No need for a receiver. Sonos sound bar will connect directly to your tv (wired) for tv sound and if you want music, it will automatically switch.
