“Sonos website recommends using the ARC HDMI for audio and they said all new TVs should have that ability, but the playbar does NOT have that capability. WHY is the logical question and are they going to provide a fix for this?”

• It’s expensive enough without needing the ability to separate audio from hdmi. There’s no use for video signals in a sonos soundbar or speakers.

• No need for HDMi. It sounds amazing already with optical cable

• Sonos recommends using ARC HDMI for the Beam and Amp as these products released recently and were able to include HDMI ARC hardware and functionality. Unfortunately, the Playbar does not have an HDMI port and requires the use of digital optical to feed the signal from the source to the Playbar.
