“I have a $1600 Velodyne subwoofer that has an astounding 1200 watts RMS. It is a wired unit through a Yamaha AV amp. How would I utilize the Sonos Playbar Soundbar with this setup? My TV will be a 65" Sony. Do I need some wireless surrounds or not?”

To use an existing third party subwoofer, you'd wire it into a CONNECT:AMP, which has a 2 volt subwoofer out, along with third party speakers. But your sub cannot be bonded with the PLAYBAR and grouping it would likely have an echo or delay which I wouldn't recommend.
