“I’m looking to buy a system that can play music From my phone, for my wired outdoor speakers( Klipsch). Do I need to or should I buy the port? Or would the amp be able to accomplish my needs? Looking for some advice please!”

If you currently have wired, outdoor speakers the Sonos Amp would be a great way to power them and allow you to stream music with the Sonos app over WiFi. You could use a port if there is already an amplifier connected to the speakers but a Sonos Amp is the cleanest way to stream music to wired speakers.

Little late to answer this Dave, but I think I can help you here if you hadn't already decided: 1. If you have an existing receiver/amp powering your outdoor speakers, the Port will work for you. This is exactly what I use it for. 2. If your wired outdoor speakers are not currently connected to a receiver/amp then you will need the Sonos Amp to do what you want. Hope this helps!
