• Yes you can put the subwoofer any where there is a outlet everything is sent through your wifi to the other speakers

• Hello, and thank you for you question. The Sub could sit next to your tv if you'd like providing that there's enough physical space for it. Sub is completely wireless to the soundbar, and the only wire it uses is a power cord. So, you could also put it behind a couch or really.. anywhere you'd like.
