Remember to reset the used speaker first.

Sonos Sub
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This is a great sounding subwoofer. Stylish too. Pairs well with the soundbar. 4 stars for 3 reasons - Couldn't rate at 4.75 - The premium price tag [I know, that's on me] - It does produce a great sound, and it can make some loose wall art vibrate, but won't pound your chest.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between Generation 2 and Generation 3 subwoofer?
Asked by CurrentSonosOwner.
- A:Answer There is no acoustic difference between the Gen 2 and Gen 3 subs. The Gen 3 Sub has updated internal processing and memory power and is designed to take advantage of any new features that come to the Sonos platform.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the Generation 1 and Generation 3 subwoofer?
Asked by Jeff.
- A:Answer Basically updated internals. They updated the memory, processor, and wireless. It is supposed to have less vibration as well. I just got this along with the arc and it is amazing. I love playing things and turning off and on the sub to hear and feel the difference it makes, I can't compare as I didn't have the Gen1. Also this link (https://thedigitaltheater.com/dolby-trailers/) has demos you can use to test out audio systems with the different dolby technologies. Not a detailed answer, but I hope that helps. If anything you can search the webs on your question and probably get more detailed analysis of the two.

Q: QuestionI just purchased a Sonos Beam and it paired seamlessly with my Samsung TV. My Xfinity remote works well, but it doesn’t have any control over my Sonos One two speakers for a surround sound experience. The two “One” speakers only work with my Sonos app.
Asked by JJ.
- A:Answer Having been through different configurations, my system worked best when I paired them all for surround sound through the Sonos app and connected an optic cable to my playbar from my smart TV. Sonos then prompts you to setup remotes.

Q: QuestionIs this what we would pair with the newly released Sonos - Arc Soundbar with Dolby Atmos?
Asked by kp541.
- A:Answer Yes, at least I did and it is amazing. I am really surprised how great this system is. In fact I am thinking of getting the Play One SL's to complete the surround setup. If you already have a Gen 1 sub than I assume you can use that as well. This sub has upgraded internals (processor, memory, and wireless) as well as less vibration, but should work as well.

Q: QuestionCan the Sonos subwoofer be paired with my Sonos Playbase? Also, can it be paired with a Sonos 5?
Asked by TMan.
- A:Answer Hi, and thank you for your questions! Yes and yes! :)
Answered by Sonos Customer Care
Q: QuestionWhat is the ideal position of the sub in the system with arc and pair of SLs? at front or back? Also, what's the ideal orientation of the sub, the hole facing the listener or away?
Asked by JayBSTL.
- A:Answer I have my sub in front facing forward and it sounds amazing.
