Connect the DVR and bluray to an HDMI input each. HDMI to the TV from the receiver using the ARC port on both sides. Optical is from the TV to the receiver for TV audio, HDMI carries audio for the other sources. Turtable via RCA red/white to the SACD/CD inputs (or the the others and leave the video open). Your turntable will need a preamp to line level, may be built in to it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should use the following configuration: * HDMI cable from from Dish DVR to SAT/CATV input * HDMI cable from Sony Blu-ray to BD/DVD input (setup output on Sony Blu-ray to bitstream) * Configure the Sony STRDN1080 receiver so it knows which speakers you have (e.g., 2 vs. 5 vs. 7) * HDMI cable from Out A (TV) to TV (turn off the speaker on the TV) * If your turntable has a built in phono preamp, you can connect it directly to the red and white inputs for Video 1. If it does not have a phono preamp, you will need to buy one and connect the turntable to the phono preamp then the phono pream to the red and white inputs for Video 1.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Run the opitcal form the Dish. Always run the sound thru the HDMI. As for the turntable I have no clue if it has opitcal option use it, if it don’t I’m guessing RCA is your only option
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I run HDMI from Directv to receiver to TV. If you're DVR doesn't support HDMI, then run the full signal to the TV and from the TV to the receiver. Same for the blu-ray player. Actually, same for all devices. I run all the things to my receiver and 1 cable from receiver to TV. HDMI allows for audio to go to the receiver from the TV when using TV apps like Netflix.
