“We just received a KDL48W650D, will this work with our model tv? Also, how should we connect it as we have directv using one of the hdmi inputs and a blu ray player for the other hdmi input.”

Buy an optical cord (they're sold separately) then connect them from the sound bar to the back of your tv if it offers an optical port. Once connected, the sound should travel from input to input
