If you do not like to change up your settings then yes your usual tv remote should be able to change the audio directly on the sound bar (if connected via HDMI). However if you like to change audio settings from tv to movie to music then I would recommend keeping it on hand. Also you can lower the subwoofer to 7-8 range for most tv but for some movie its recommend to push the subwoofer to 12 and really hear the boom

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You should use the sound bar remote and not the TV remote unless you invest in an all-in-one remote like a Harmony remote or your TV’s remote uses a similar concept (e.g. programmable)
