Q: QuestionConnected to my Sony 65 X900F TV with HDMI ARC. When using the voice assistant on the remote control I say 'increase the volume by 30%' I see it says 'SURE' on the TV but the volume does not change. It does work with just the TV speakers on. Please help.

• A:Answer Yea I found the arc only works when the tv received the input and outputs to the speaker. If the speaker is providing your signal - only the speaker remote works to adjust volume.

Q: QuestionFor the HTX9000F; My 4K blu-ray player has 1 HDMI out for video and 1 HDMI audio-only out. I have the audio-only output of blu-ray to the HDMI IN port of the 9000F; my blu-ray video HDMI out is connected directly to my Sony930E. Is this the best set up?

• A:Answer Yes, it works as long as you connect it through the HDMI ARC. I just connected mine yesterday. Directv remote controls the soundbar’s volume.

Q: QuestionHooked Csble box to HDMI1 on TV and SB via HDMI/ARC. Some basic remote commands do not work, e.g. DISPLAY doesnt show on TV, using PIC modes like Cinema just light up all indicators. Assume all indicator lights mean command not valid.

• A:Answer The Sound Bar is good to connect more than one connection to the TV. The optical wire is connected to the TV to the SB. And the HDMI connection from cable box or 4K blu-Ray player to the SB HDMI port and is connected to the TV HDMI port. (Make sure your sound Bar support 4K)

Q: QuestionFollow up for David on including a Cable Box in the configuration. Your link shows using an Optical Audio cable from my Cisco Cable box to the Soundbar Optical Audio IN. Sounds reasonable and similar to my old TV which used Optical out to my Home Theater

Q: QuestionI have a big problem with this sound bar. Running through the ARC/HDMI on my Samsung tv. Seems like every day I need to adjust the lip sync issues. Never had this issue with my previous sound bar. Is there a fix for this?

Q: QuestionIf this sound bar is being used with a device that doesn’t have a ARC ( suh as my current projector), does it still support Dolby Atmos? Will Dolby Atmos sound quality still be able to pass through?

Q: QuestionI have this soundbar connected to the Sony 75 X850E TV using the HDMI ARC connection. There is a slight audio lag using the soundbar (occurs with HDMI or optical). The delay is small but definitely there, so this causes lip sync issues. Any suggestions?

• A:Answer Everyone saying adjust the A/V sync is correct but that won’t fix the issue 100%. As someone else said you can get it close but not perfect. There was also another comment about changing the digital audio out on your TV from auto to PCM....try that too but it’s still not 100% but it’s nearly there. Someone else mentioned something about it possibly being the HDMI cord. Could be that too...perhaps try buying a better quality and/or shorter cable and see if that improves it.
