• You can turn the bass on the sub up and down and you can turn the volume (everything else) up and down from the remote

• You mean equalizer for tone adjustments, right? - There are no treble/mid/bass settings that allow for individual preferences except the level of the subwoofer (from level 1 to 12, where I personally like level 12 the best). That said, there are various factory-provided (surround) sound settings you can choose from, which impact treble/mid/bass.

• The woofer box does have tone and volume controls.

• Hi TJ, This Sony HTCT790 does not have a tuner to control the bass effect. However, the remote control has dedicated buttons to control the bass volume of the Subwoofer. -Jerome
