Will my remote for my Sony Bravia (2015 model) raise and lower the volume on the soundbar or do I need to use the remote that came with the soundbar?   (5 Answers)

          Answer

I have the Sony TV XBR - 65X850D and the Sony sound bar CT790. The TV remote does control the soundbar volume when it is on. The only time I grab the sound bar remote is to choose a different sound effect or adjust the sub woofer volume independently.

Did you plug it into the HDMI arc on the soundbar? I put it into the wrong one at first. I have called Sony customer quite a few times to set this up. They are great and free.

                  Answer

Hello Smash! It is possible to connect both units by using one of the available output ports on your receiver such as the HDMI and run it to the soundbar HDMI IN port and create a cascade effect to be able to output sound from both devices. For more information regarding the available connections, please visit the following links: https://docs.sony.com/release//Manual_4586049141.pdf https://docs.sony.com/release//STRDN850_qs_EN_ES_FR.pdf ~Jeannette

How do you get the soundbar to pair with the subwoofer? I've tried everything and can't get it to go!!!! I had it and then it disconnected   (4 Answers)

                    Answer

I am not sure if this will help but I had the same problem with mine. I found that the subwoofer would lose connection from time to time. I just manually powered the subwoofer off, then waited 5-10 seconds and turned it back on and it would reconnect. I am sure you have tried this, but I thought I would share my experience. Hope it helps.
