“Can I connect from a TV HDMI (non ARC) to this soundbar (HDMI ARC) and get sound and basic funtionality. i don't need the ARC function but my TV only has HDMI. Westinghouse TV model TX42F430S.... thanks”

Hello Louis! The HDMI will allow you to send the signal from the external devices connected to the soundbar back to the television. If you have all your devices connected directly to your television instead and you are interested in only getting the audio out from your television into the soundbar, it will be required to connect an Optical cord from the digital output of your television back into the TV input on the soundbar.
