“Does everyone's soundbar always start on the "tv" input? I bought this soundbar from Best Buy a few days ago and everytime I start it up, it starts on the tv input. I watch cable on this 90% of the time and it's hooked up to "hdmi 1". I just need to know if this is normal or do I have a defective unit. Otherwise, the sound is phenomenal.”

• Mine seems to start at the last place before turning off. It may take a minute or so to come on (we have an old TV) but picks up on the last location used.

• You may have a defective unit. My unit always starts up on the HDMI setting I configured it to use. My laptop is connected to HDMI1 on the soundbar and then the output hdmi on the soundbar feeds into my TV.

• I think this is the way it's supposed to be. Mine is the same and I'm using it the same way you are.. That's probably the reason the sound is so good.
