QuestionWhy does is cost so much?I'd like to know why this 133W peak power system cost $100 dollars more than the 300W peak power system. It doesn't make any sense to me. The more powerful system even has more features.

- Answer The differences in the two systems is actually apparent when you've tried both out. For one, the CT380 soundbar is 5" shorter, thus suited for a 40"+ TV while the CT780, being longer, is suited best for 46"+ systems. The finishes are slightly different on the back portion, the CT380 has a fake leather looking cover, while the CT780 has a sleek piano black finish in the back, the covers on the front is the same on both. Finally, I had both systems connected at one time and to me the level of sound and quality on the CT780 is excellent while the CT380 is good. I consider myself an audiophile and I was going to purchase a far more expensive product but the CT780 hits the price and sound quality sweet spot. And if you are worried about the extra $100, find an open box online at Bestbuy.com, you'll save a ton of money that way. Good luck!

Now I am able to purchase and am wondering if the one at BEST BUY listed as: Sony - 2.1-Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer - Black Model: HTCT780 SKU: 3953235 330W peak power; wireless subwoofer; Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio support; Bluetooth interface; NFC (near-field communication) technology Would this one work with the older model TV?

Questionwhat are the main differences between the htct770 and 780?Having trouble finding the difference between the 770 and 780. Please help?

- Answer I have both a 770 and a 780 unit. I prefer the 770 unit . To me, the 770 unit has a richer "basier" sound. Also, the remote control for the 780 unit compared to that provided with the 770 unit is a piece of junk and has significantly less utility. If I could, I would trade in the 780 unit for a 770 unit.

QuestionWireless base problemsI purchased this product today and set up was a snap my only issue is that the subwoofer shuts off after a little while and does not come back on? I need to unplug it and reset the system then re sync the sub woofer only for it to happen again. I tried turning the power saver off but nothing works ? Any ideas?

- Answer I had my system set up by the Geek Squad just for the reasons of possible problems. I don't recall being shown any other troubleshooting options except the energy saving timers. I think your system is defective.

- Answer Hi 4KCompatibility, the sound bar does output HDMI ARC. The ARC feature eliminates the need to use an additional composite audio cable or an optical cable when connecting an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver or surround sound system to a TV. Connecting an HDMI® cable from an ARC-compatible A/V receiver to an ARC-compatible TV will allow the following: 1. Send audio to the A/V receiver from the TV. 2. QuestionCan I lay the sub-woofer on its side? The manual states that laying it on its side is only for the 380 model. Just wondering if there is some limitation on this particular model.

- Answer Yes you can, just keep back clear about six inches for proper air flow to avoid overheating or fire hazard. If unit has green light on front its ready to go. Standing upright is preferred by company but should not impact sound quality.

- Answer Hello ankurbs! No, the Soundbar will just pass the signal to the television and will decode the source based on the sound field used. The ARC function will work if you are trying to get the sound out from your television into the Soundbar. QuestionI purchased this unit as an open box item, everything worked fine until I went to try the subwoofer. It did not link to the bar, nor was there an option for it under the menu option. In other words there was no WS option.
